Spicy Turkey Burgers

I’ve been on a Turkey kick lately.  Here is a recipe of mine for a spicy turkey burger.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 3-4 Tbsp Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Egg White
  • 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • 1.5 tsp Black Pepper (or to your desired heat level)
  • 2 tsp Chipotle Chile Pepper (or to your desired heat level) (I use McCormick’s Gourmet Collection)
  • 2 Tbsp Garlic Paste or substitute fresh peeled and minced garlic desired quantity

Directions:

  • Thoroughly mix all ingredients together.

Spicy Chicago Style Italian Beef

Growing up in Chicago, my favorite food was an Italian Beef sandwich from either Al’s Beef or Portillo’s.  No longer living in Chicago I found it hard to satisfy my craving.  So here is a recipe I developed using a combination of recipes I found online.

  • 2.5 – 3 lb Chuck Roast or Round Roast
  • 1 Tbs Olive Oil
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 pack of Italian Dressing Mix
  • 1 Beef Stock Cube
  • 1 pack Au Jus Mix
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
